Who needs to agree
Five days to answer one question: is this defect worth a camera? Then you choose a full trial, better images first, or stop.
Nobody visits the line. Your quality person joins a call on day one and a review on day four, and confirms labels when asked.
Images come across by a method you approve and stay where you say. Nothing connects to your network or your line. At the end we delete or return them, as agreed in writing.
If the answer is no, you've spent five days instead of a capital budget, and you know exactly why.
You see good parts wrongly rejected and defects missed at the defect rate you really have, instead of a flattering score on a tidy sample. No equipment goes in and no site permit is needed.

It tells you whether a camera is worth a closer look for one type of defect, and it can rule a camera out early, before you spend on hardware. It can't tell you the accuracy you'll get in production. That needs your lighting, your line speed and more images, which is what the Proof of Value is for.
That's the minimum we work with, so the images we hold back for testing contain enough real defects to give a reliable answer. More helps, especially of rare or borderline defects. Got fewer? Tell us on the first call and we'll say whether the check is still worth running.
Wherever you say. Ask, and we'll sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you share anything. We write down in advance where the images are stored, who can see them, and when they're deleted or returned.
No. The check runs remotely on images you already have. That's also why lighting, lenses and camera triggering aren't part of it. Those can only be judged at the line.
Then you've spent five days instead of a whole vision project. You'll know why, and what would change the answer, such as more examples of the defect or a different camera position.
